Pet Care Associate Lead

Looking for an animal loving, reliable, energetic, outgoing and motivated person who loves to work with pets and people
. This person must have sufficient knowledge of how to handle and care for our pet clientele as well as their humans. It is a “hands on’ Lead position. This person will also be providing help in a variety of ways and must always ensure that our Doggy Day Care Enrichment program and kennel operations adhere to company guidelines and all laws regarding animal care. The person must see to it that the environment is safe and clean at all times. You must be willing to work side by side with another Manager to share the responsibilities of managing both the Pet Boarding services and Doggy Day Care Enrichment Program.
We are looking for someone that can build a strong, caring motivated team and provide excellent customer service. The person must be able to multi-task in a fast paced, physical environment. This position will be assisting the Manager with the responsibilities of hiring, training, directing staff and carry out employee evaluations, creating schedules, working with pets in our care, cleaning along with our Doggy Day Care Enrichment Program and pet boarding services along with other tasks and duties as delegated.

This candidate must have good computer skills, is social media proficient, have a professional demeanor and is detailed oriented; ensuring the safety and cleanliness for all. Most importantly a love for dogs, cats and other small furry pets!

  • Desired Qualifications:
  • -Must be able to work at least 6 shifts per week and be available weekdays, weekends and holidays-Work week hours are flexible and coordinated with the Team. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.-Must have reliable transportation in the rain, snow and shine-Minimum 2 years customer service experience- a plus: Minimum 2 years Team Lead experience, preferably in the pet care industry-Working knowledge of dog behavior and a sincere interest in working with dogs and their human companions-The willingness and ability to adhere to strict policies regarding cleanliness, dog/employee safety and client service-Reliable and safety minded-Willingness and ability to be on call outside of hours of operation. After 60 days of Full Time Employment: Free Dog daycare (must meet Day Care qualifications), Free/Discounted Boarding, Discounted Veterinary Services (up to 2 of your own personal pets), 401k/Roth, Life Insurance, Dental/Vision Insurance Min. Age: 21+This is a salaried position. Harmony Pet Clinic was established in 2002 as a one-stop shop for pet owners. Services we provide include Doggy Day Care Enrichment Program, Pet Boarding, Grooming and Full Service Veterinary Hospital that offers laser surgery.

Pet Care Associate
Have you ever thought about working with pets? Well, this could be your chance! Animal care facility seeking responsible, energetic Part Time Pet Care Associate to be cross trained between our Doggy Day Care service and pet boarding services. You would be responsible for the care and handling of play groups and the care of pets boarding with us. 70% of your time will be in the care and handling of dogs, cats and other pets. 20% of your time will be ensuring the facility is sanitized and kept clean. The remaining 10% will be customer service. Levels of responsibility will increase according to the level of the staff member.
Some essential duties and responsibilities would include, but not limited to:

    • Performing a variety of demanding physical activities, including lifting or moving a minimum of 50 pounds. Lifting, twisting and bending.
    • Available weekends holidays, in all types of weather
    • Accuracy in all day to day operations (ie. Reservations, appointments, charting, training, etc.)
    • Overseeing and caring for ALL pets in our care, including playing, brushing, petting, holding, kenneling, leashing, collaring, applying first aid, feeding, medicating, handling pets in and out of a group setting, etc.
    • Cleaning duties such as cleaning up dog or cat waste, sweeping, mopping, dusting, disinfecting, shoveling, cleaning crates and kennels, and bathing pets.
    • Available to attend events to promote the business.

The ideal candidate will have: 
Personal Pet Care and Pet Care Industry experience

  • Drive to learn more and become more experienced in dog behavior
  • Love and understanding of what it takes to properly care for pets
  • Able to work weekdays, weekends AND holidays

  • Has an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology from an accredited Veterinary Technology program or is on the job trained as a veterinary technician and has an active license (or will graduate this semester)
  • Has a current license as a Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of Wisconsin (or will be obtaining one within the next 6 months)
  • Has a strong ability to multi-task while being both efficient and thorough
  • Experienced in animal restraint, anesthesia monitoring, surgical assisting and all aspects of veterinary patient care.
  • Is well-spoken and approaches his/her job duties in a mature manner and without constant supervision

Boarding

Your pet’s home away from home.

Harmony Pet Clinic is a loving home away from home when you’re away on business or pleasure. Special Kitty Condos on the lower level provide a safe retreat from the canine world. Upstairs, our Doggy Resort offers standard, deluxe and luxury runs, plus a huge backyard for play. We also take small cage pets. Whether you’re gone for a night or a week, we do it all: meals, medication, recreation, bathing, grooming and quality time with caring staff. Single and double occupancy accommodations are so luxurious, a favorite toy or personal item is all your pet will need to bring!

We have three different size rooms for the dogs in our Doggy Resort*. Please contact us to speak with a Boarding specialist to determine which room your dog would be most comfortable.

Play time with individual attention up to 20 minutes.

One Pet: $13.20/session (additional)
Two Pets : $22.00/session (additional)

We also offer Enrichment Sessions for your dogs during their stay. The individual session is 15 minutes and consists of one of the following:
Puzzle Time, Ball Pit or Basic Manner Tutor (will work on Sit, Down or Wait)  $16.50 per session per dog

For those dogs that are currently enrolled in our daycare program and would like to participate, there will be a $4.00 discount for each day of day care while boarding.

NOTE: Proof of current DHLPP, Rabies and Bordatella vaccinations performed by a licensed veterinarian required prior to arrival.

We welcome dogs of any breed.

*Boarding reservations require a non-refundable deposit.
*Boarding reservations that are pre-approved for 2 weeks and longer will require a non-refundable deposit equal to the entire length of stay.
*Pets staying for a pre-approved 7 days or longer will require that one play session a day be purchased to keep up with their normal daily activity.
*Two night minimum during the holidays.
**Double Occupancy boarding is for pets that have grown up in the same household all their lives. Pets from different households are unable to stay  in the same kennel.  This is for the safety and well being of your pets.

Medication

Diabetic Management Fee starting at $13.20/day

Diabetic boarders come with specific health issues and requirements. Custom Diabetic Care includes insulin injections, OSHA sharps disposal, food intake monitoring and phone consultation with our veterinarian on call as needed.

All other medications starting at $.83/dose

Stays of more than seven nights are offered a $10 bath before going home at owner’s request.

*Saturday and Monday Pick-Up require prepayment at drop off.
