Veterinary Partners

Dr. Maura O’Brien
DVM, DACVS

Dr. O’Brien is a 1987 graduate of the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine. After completing an internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City, she completed a three-year residency in small animal surgery at Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine and Angell Memorial Hospital, in Massachusetts. She was then accepted as a Fellow in Surgical Oncology at Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine (1991-1993).

Prior to relocating back to Wisconsin her clinical experience included eight years as a surgeon and head of the surgery department at the VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital followed by three years as a associate with Surgical Options, LLC, in Madison, Wisconsin.

Currently Dr. Maura focuses on specialized surgeries such as Cruciate, hip and other intricate tissue surgeries at Harmony Pet Care.
