PET CARE GIVER
Animal care facility seeking energetic Part Time Pet Care Giver to be cross trained between our Central Bark Doggy Day Care service and pet boarding services. This is a permanent part time, physical job that would entail:

  • Caring for and supervising play groups of dogs including, playing with dogs, working on manners, brushing, petting, holding, crating, leashing, feeding, medicating, cleaning up after dogs, etc.
  • Caring for pets in our boarding areas: feeding, medicating, cleaning, petting, playing.
  • Lifting, twisting and bending. Able to lift or move a minimum of 50 pounds. Standing or bending for long periods of time.
  • Cleaning duties such as cleaning up dog waste and cat waste, sweeping, mopping, dusting, disinfecting, shoveling, cleaning crates, cleaning out garbage cans and bathing dogs.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Personal or Industry Pet Care experience
  • Able to work weekdays, weekends AND holidays
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Efficient, detailed and highly motivated
  • Ability to define problems, analyze emergencies and think on your feet

Veterinary Partners

Dr. Maura O’Brien
DVM, DACVS

Dr. O’Brien is a 1987 graduate of the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine. After completing an internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City, she completed a three-year residency in small animal surgery at Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine and Angell Memorial Hospital, in Massachusetts. She was then accepted as a Fellow in Surgical Oncology at Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine (1991-1993).

Prior to relocating back to Wisconsin her clinical experience included eight years as a surgeon and head of the surgery department at the VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital followed by three years as a associate with Surgical Options, LLC, in Madison, Wisconsin.

Currently Dr. Maura focuses on specialized surgeries such as Cruciate, hip and other intricate tissue surgeries at Harmony Pet Care.

Dr. Daniel Heder
DVM

Dr. Daniel Heder is a 1987 graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine.  Following graduation, he completed rotating small animal Internship at Cornell University before entering Diagnostic Imaging Residency in 1990.  Since that time, Dr. Heder has used ultrasound imaging to provide advanced diagnostic information on a referral basis throughout southern Wisconsin.  He is partner in two general practice clinics in Dane county WI and launched Lakeland Veterinary Imaging in 2010.  By offering convenient, affordable, high-quality imaging consultation, the company has successfully eliminated many barriers to these important diagnostic tools.

Lakeland Veterinary Imaging specializes in advanced diagnostic imaging such as computed tomography, ultrasound, and echocardiography.  We have the ability, with our mobile ultrasound equipment, to visit veterinary clinics all across South-central Wisconsin to perform exams and provide excellent service for both the veterinary clinic and their clients.
