Complete Blood Count (CBC)
An evaluation of the numbers and types of cells in your pet’s blood. Evaluation of the red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets allows us to assess your pet’s general wellness (such as hydration status) and detect a wide variety of disorders.
Chemistry Panel
Reflects the function of a variety of organs within your pet’s body. Critical issues such as liver disease, kidney disease, diabetes, electrolyte disturbances, hormone (endocrine) disease and even cancer can be revealed as abnormalities on the chemistry panel.
Heartworm Testing
Tests for the presence of adult heart worms in the circulatory system of both dogs and cats. This test can also be combined with tests for Lyme disease, Ehrlichiosis and Anaplasmosis which are tick-borne diseases common in dogs in our area.
Thyroid Testing
Screening or comprehensive testing to asses thyroid function in any species.
Titer Testing
For pets who cannot be vaccinated or owners who wish to reduce vaccine frequency we offer titer testing to assess your pet’s immune system.
Specialized Panels
May be ordered if your veterinarian feels that further diagnostics are needed to explore an area of abnormal physical symptoms or dive deeper in to the cause of changes in the CBC or chemistry panel.
Urine Testing
Urinalysis and urine bacterial cultures are routinely performed to assess the function of the urinary tract from the kidneys to the bladder.
Fecal Testing
Fecal evaluations are useful for assessing digestive tract function, bacterial colonization of the gut and the presence of parasites. Any pet with weight loss, diarrhea or blood/ mucous in the stool should have a fecal examination performed in addition to routine annual screening.
